Have you heard the term "dragging the shutter"?

I was watching a video last night and they guy mentioned "dragging the shutter", however there was no explanation as to what that meant. Anyone heard this term before? What does it mean? I have a Nikon D-90 camera, if it matters.

Thank you

Rob

Thank you baydream. I know I'm not the OP, but I had no idea what it was either.

Shutter drag in terms of landscape photography.....
I shot this with a shutter speed of 2 seconds = 2 second exposure = 2 second shutter drag.

Exactly. It's used to get certain type of effects, such as silky water.

You see, a pro like me  Just learn something. Although I create those type of effects. Like the picture Karl posted. I never knew it was called "dragging the shutter".
But that is how I am. I shoot to what I like, what feels right and later in life learn the term.
