What are you doing with your old photo magazines?

I have a stack of old magazines that must be a good 3 feet tall. I was keeping them for reference, but have to say this pile is getting tall. How long do you keep yours?

If they have a particular article I want to keep, I tear it out and save in a folder. I "donate" the others to our camera club for free distribution.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

I dont order magazines, I look at the magazines in the shop to see if theres an article or topic I am interested in before I buy it or not, You can either do what Baydream and Boriqua Latina have said or if you have a scanner, scan the parts you want.....doesnt take much room on hard drive/disks.

I have about eleven tons of magazines, mostly photo related. A couple titles I have near complete sets.
My wife can deal with them once I croak. I still read some of the old ones on a regular basis......:)

Why so serious?

You give me idea, which magazine has the best online version?

I've done the same as others, cut out articles, sometimes have saved an issue of PDN. I've sometimes bought and saved issues of Lenswork but they're small sized so don't take up much shelf space.

Seems like most magazines offer some sort of online subscription along with a print edition.

I keep them for one year and then give them to the library, I now have outdoor photography and shutterbug on my I pad so thats taken some of the clutter away.

I had rescued the moment by using my camera and in that way had found how to stop time and hold it. (Lovely Bones)

I'll keep them for a few months before I toss them out

Space is very limiting here, so after I have read I throw out

My husband tossed a large pile of magazines out last week. These were stacked up in the garage since last summer.

I've switched most of my reading to iPad too. Not just photo mags but other mags, text books, novels. I much prefer it to the old clutter of the "dead tree" versions.
