Is there a way to tell what lens a photo was taken with?

I look around at others photos often for ideas and inspiration and most of the time it doesn't show what lens they used to take the photo.  Is there an easy way to tell what lens was used on photos you see on the web?

If the data hasn't been stripped, sometimes you can see the exif with a viewer. If you're using Chrome, its a quick and effective add on.
However it won't work at many sites, like this where they have right click disabled.........;)

Why so serious?

And some sites have the photo info button as well or EXIF link to see. But the problem is the EXIF data will not tell you what lens was used in reality, it will only give you the focal length when it was shot. So if someone is using a zoom lens all it tells you is that it was shot at 55mms, at f/8, with a setting of 200ISO. The only way to tell whether it was shot with a zoom or not, is if they happen to show numbers like 38mm, or something that is not a normal focal length. If you see whole numbers like 35, 50, and so on then you can guess it was a prime lens. You may be right then 50% of the time.
Also I do not worry about it. If I enjoy a photo, I just do. If you are getting inspired by it, then just let it inspire you, and go with it. Even if you have all of the technical information about a shot, it does not tell you how they got it, or how they processed it. So admire it, and just enjoy it, and let it drive you to improve to make your own inspiration.
