What do you do with old cameras?

5 years 1 month ago #397522 by Colorado Mike
I'm going to be cleaning out a storage room today and I know I have at least a couple old cameras in there that aren't worth much on the resale market.  Are there any charities that you have worked with where these cameras could be given to kids?

Many schools & colleges that have photography courses use older film cameras to teach photography with... I'd contact some local  ones to you & find out.... Otherwise, they can just be displayed as conversation pieces...

I am using my old digital cameras to teach my 3 y/o grandson photography.  We use a tripod adjusted to his size to help him out and he's just thrilled to see his work on the computer.  He uses the LCD screen to frame his work and does amazingly well.

Digital cameras, I either sell, convert or keep using up to now.  Old filmers, I have most in a nice display and they're worth more sitting than I could get on fleabay......

Why so serious?
