How are you soliciting past clients for reviews?

Are you asking them in person, sending emails or snail mail? What media are you asking for them to leave the reviews:

Facebook
LinkedIn
Yelp
Wedding Wire
Old fashion letter

Please share what you are doing. Like many of you, I'm trying to drum up more business so always open to hearing what others are doing.

Just suggest if they are happy, leaving a review would be appreciated and leave it up to them.

Send a thank you card,  with "I would appreciate you sharing your review on"Yelp"" or where ever you want it.  That way, it's more organic and not asked.

Everyone has their comfort level, some will be more outward with making such requests.  As for me, I'd just take the back door approach as many have already suggested.  Send out a thank you, appreciate your business card.  And perhaps have we sure would love to get your feedback and leave a link to the place where you have the most positive reviews or where you want to hint for one.
