$7500 will be a lot of cool gear.  Hmmmm.  Nope, vacation.  I can think of a few places that would be great to go about now.  For me: Iceland and Norway

I'd love to go to Africa and probably never will. Been to Germany and would like to make a trip back. Lot of place's I'd like to go but I think I'd use it to see more of the country I live in and I have seen a lot of it. 30 yrs driving 49 state's and Canada and you see a lot, but seldom have time to stop. Once the $7500 is gone, it's gone. Perhaps you've seen all there is to see in this country but I know I haven't. Would love to go to Africa but can't afford it. $7500 winfall and still don't think I could afford it. I have a brother that took his son and his son's wife to Africa a couple years ago. Spent three weeks there and cost him $650 a day per person and then the air fare on top of that.

Hi Don, at that price per day they must have stayed at five star game lodges. They are beautiful,  but we can not afford to go there.
My daughter now works at bookings for a game lodge.
R950 per person night for you for dinner, bed, breakfast. Air conditioned tent with bathroom. That is less than $80! There is cheaper still. Tent and communal bathrooms.

Just do some homework.

I'm pretty sure it was a really nice place, brother make's a lot of money. I went to Texas to drive his daughter home from collage and the first night out she was wanting to stop and say a Holiday Inn sign. As I was pulling off I spotted a Motel 6 and said we should stay there, lot less expensive. She seemed shocked i would mention it. Seem's they only give you one towel at motel 6 and it is to small to wash her hair! They are all used to going first cabin!

So Don, now you know you can travel for a small portion of what they paid.
One Dollar is R12.42 (South African Rand)
Go Google!

The RSA seems like a great place, but there isn't another country, or even an airport on the rest of the ENTIRE continent I care to be. You guys are too isolated.....:(

Why so serious?

Isolated?
Namibia has the most beautiful oldest desert in the world. (Namib desert) It is 1 1/2 hour flight from our capital. The famous Okavambo Swamps, less than 1 hour flight to Botswana. Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, mostly two hours flight. Table Mountain in my back yard, one of the Seven Natural Wonders Of The World, 1 1/2 hours flight from Johannesburg, the capital. Let me know if you want me to continue.
