What is difference between Lensbaby composer and composer pro?

I'm seeing someone advertising two Lensbaby composers for sale on Craigslist.  One is listed as a "Pro".  Any idea what is the difference between these?

I think the original Composer has been discontinued. I think it was the first one of the Lensbabies that had the ball joint instead of the manual tilt. The 'Pro' apparently has some metal instead of plastic, a focus ring more similar to standard lenses instead of shifting the lens in and out, and can be locked in place.

I have an Original Lensbaby and a 2.0 that I use with manual film cameras. Those were a good bit less expensive new than the current lenses and I bought them used since they're specialty lenses that I don't use a lot.

I believe they still make both. The composer relies on the tension of the ball socket to keep the lens positioned, The pro on the other hand has these little metal rods connecting the front and back half together of adjustment. The GF has a composer and we love it. It's been used for thousands of photographs and has never let us down.

My apologies, On investigation, I find that the one with the three setting rods is the control freak.

So, Google "Lensbaby composer vs Composer Pro" Nets you the following info.

Short version. I think the composer uses composite lenses, While the pro uses double glass. Don't hold me to that. They are essentially the same lens, do the same things but the pro is a bit heavier duty and better quality. And yes it appears the composer is out of production but if you want one they still have factory refurb units at a GREAT price.

Good luck!
