Someone actually told me this today, and they were serious!  "DSLRS are a dying breed with photographers"  - RIGHT!! I said back to him.

Anyway, I found this photographers perception to be comedy and thought I would shar this with you.

Camera phones may lessen the sale of DSLR's (base models that is) & point & shoot cameras but the DSLR isn't going away.

Smartphones are popular and fun for the family shots, but certainly no replacement to DSLR

Canon 7D, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, 70-200mm L f/2.8, 100mm and 17-55mm f/2.8
