Can someone help me under the difference between these...

What I'm trying to grasp here is the difference between film , HD, and ultraHD and 4K with regards to video and movies.   Digging around I believe film has something like 24 frames per second, HD is 30 and ultraHD jumps up to 60.  4K is out on it's own planet.

What is also a curiosity to me is the pixel ratio for each of these.  What is film would be like 480 pixels right?  HD would be 720 pixels?  Leaving ultraHD at 1080 pixels?

Am I close on these?

Frames per second has nothing to do wit resolution. Let's discuss them separately.

Film (usually) captures images at 24 fps. Do some research on how film works, and the way the eye interprets the images and movement. Video is (usually) 30 fps. Again, research how the eye perceives this. The result is that video looks more "real" (to most people).

You can capture video at 24 fps and get the (essentially) same look as film. Playing back a 24 fps source on a high-resolution monitor means you get a sharper image, but that doesn't really change the "look" of the source.

Resolution of display devices is a different matter. That's about the detail present in the image you see. Which is why an HD movie on a 4K monitor looks sharper than when viewed on a 720p monitor. Also, refresh rate can affect your perception, resulting in more clarity.

The digital equivalent of film depends upon the grain of the film and the size of the cell. There is no single answer. Recall that there is a 70mm format for film, which is huge and highly detailed. A lot different from Super8.

"HD" is typically 1920x1080 in resolution, but has been used to describe a range of resolutions. "SD" (standard definition) is typically up to 720x480. "4K" is just that: 4000 horizontal, or twice that of HD. IWO 4000x2200 (-ish). "UltraHD" seems to be used to describe 4K and greater resolution.
