Having a little fun with film

8 years 3 months ago #463401 by Raymond II
Last weekend I found my old a Nikon n90s body with a Sigma 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 lens and picked up some film and all day today I shot with this old film camera.  Talk about a lot of fun.  Not to mention, it sure made me think about each shot I was taking.

Honestly, today was refreshing.  Good fun, I'm going to work in at least one 'film' day each month.

Who else still shoots film from time to time?

I have a bunch of old filmers, all work perfectly. I still have most of my processing/darkroom gear, a couple enlargers, water temp control, etc. I thought back then I would shoot film from time to time but its simply too much work and cost. My F100 has been loaded with the same roll of film for a couple years now. I guess I don't miss film photography, I have been spoiled by digital and there's no going back for me....
I have a F90s (N90s) its a pretty nice camera body, have fun....;)

I agree with Effron.
I still have ten 120 films exposed with my Pentax 6x7 in the fridge for about 7 years?

I moved away from the house with the darkroom.
I sold one of my three darkroom sets.
Two left, only because I am too stingy to give it away.

You talking about your film or camera in your fridge?

Yip, I do not have ten Pentax cameras.
That was one cool camera without being chilled by a fridge.

I think it would be fun to see what I could do with film, but no darkroom here.  So who develops film now days?  Plus the cost of printing the size I want.

I haven't touched film in long time.  You remind me that I have a camera buried here somewhere.

I just sold most of my film gear, only kept one body and lens because they were given to me by my dad.  It's the same camera he used for taking family photos when I was a kid, so I thought I'd keep it in the family.  Haven't shot with it in nearly 5 years though...
