How many camera clubs do you belong too?

I need to get out more.  So thats what my wife is saying.  Which brings me to joining a camera club.  Now I've noticed in my area there are a few of them.  Do you find joining one satisfies your needs or do you belong to multiple?

2 of them.  They are a nice 'out' of the house experience!  To bad we only meet once per month.  :(

Used to belong to one but stopped awhile back. I do get out & shoot with other photographers periodically ( I did yesterday). but no more clubs as I don't get much out of them. I do periodically judge contests at several clubs & also hold macro excursions locally for members of those clubs but no more club memberships for me.

You are a club person or you are not. Go to all the clubs as a visitor and see if all that rigid rules and meeting agendas are for you. I will rather chat to another photographer at if I run into one at a location. That is me. Clubs are full of happy people, so that is for them. Only one way of finding out.

I use to belong to one, didn't care for how it was being run, so I quit it.

I've had mixed luck with MeetUp groups.  IMO some are just over the top gear heads more interested in comparing gear they  own vs getting out and taking great shots.
