What was the first camera that you owned?

7 years 11 months ago #480664 by Alex
I was talking to a friend this morning and they asked what was my first camera that I owned.  Now I remember what the first DSLR that I owned was (which was a Nikon D90).  However I couldn't recall what my VERY first camera was.

I know it was a point and shoot Canon of some sort and I was in middle school.  I had received it from Santa and it was a 35mm.  I remember during the summer months, I would mow Mr. Browns lawn for $5 on Sunday and would run out and buy some film for it!  Most of the time, my grandparents would chip in and buy it for me.  That $5 always seemed to disappear so quickly!

Anyway, do you remember what your very first camera was?

An old Polaroid folder. Don't remember the model ( might have been a 210), back in 1967. First 35mm was a Minolta SRT 101 in 1969

A plastic fantastic camera I got in the mail by sending in cereal box tops. It was horrible but the images would be considered art now. My next camera was a Polaroid Swinger. It was white. My first real camera was a Pentax MX. My first digital camera was a Minolta DImage 7 which I still have and use mostly for infrared shots.

Mine was an old 120 camera my grandfather gave me. You set the focus by the distance scale, and the f-stop was fixed at f8. Was a fun little camera to start out with.

A simple box camera, 126 roll film.  So long ago that I have forgotten the brand name.

The first camera I used was my Mom's:  Kodak Brownie box camera. (Now there goes my age). When I was a student at University, I saved money and bought a Praktica SLR 35mm. Only 3 years ago I bought my first DSLR. I still love my hobby.
