What was the LAST photo you took? Post it in here

Let's do something a bit old school.  Show-AND-Tell!

Don't cheat and look for a photo that was taken 4 years ago, one that is your pride and joy.   Post up the very last photo that you took, good, bad or in between.  Post it up and tell the story behind the photo.  If it's not what you were after, or hoping for.  Lay it out here, tell us.

Photography is all about story telling right?

I'll start it off...

Nearly every night after work, my wife and I take our son Caleb for a walk to the park.  Since he was born, it seems most of the photos I have taken have been from my iPhone because my other cameras were just to big to want to lug around.  Recently I picked up a Sony A6300, which is small and surprisingly a pretty awesome camera for it's size.

Long story short... I'm taking photos again!

So... while taking photos of Caleb (photo from last night):

I happen to see something to the right of me, and it's this hummingbird 3 feet from my head and following us! The irony to this story, is a few days ago.  PT member "Effron" posted an amazing shot of this hummingbird that he photographed.  I made a comment that I never seem to be able to get my camera in time to snap off a photo of one of these semi elusive birds (at least for me!).

And  BAM!  Here's one just waiting for me to take their portrait.  By the time I took the lens cap off, and was able to point and click (Yep... no framing up here, point, pray...AND... you guessed it... click   ), the little bugger had moved about 20 feet from me into this near-by tree.

Now I've cropped the photo bit, however trilled I have FINALLY been able to photograph a hummingbird.  Not as cool as Effron's, but it works till my next hummingbird opportunity!

Now it's your turn.  Post up your last photo and tell us a little story about it, what you were doing, etc.

Thank you for making PhotographyTalk.com your photography community of choice.

Last photo I took was of my and she would kill me if I posted it up.  I will tell the story:  Actually it's not much of a story, as much as it is of me catching here at one of those goofy moments and her facial expression looks like a crossed eyed blow fish!  LOL

My daughter hounded me to take her to a local attraction to get some sunset shots. Having visited the same place many times in the past I really was not too keen, but, you know how it is with a daughter who will not stop going on about it, so off we went, and so glad I did.... I captured a shot that even by my standards is excellent, so now I am hounding my daughter for ideas on places to go. Image: Midland Sunset. Taken 17/05/2016

Very nice.  You don't post on here often, but when you do I always enjoy your work.

I love photographing wild horses and just did that yesterday. I go to Sand Wash Basin in NW CO where there is a Wild Horse Management area. This is a new filly, her dam, and stallion. I have done no adjustments to this photo, other than to crop it.

You just don't see classics like that on the roads any more.  Good find!

So here is the last pic I took (well the last one was actually of the floor but I find that happens a lot with the touch screen so that got deleted!) This is the last one I took deliberately.  So its supposed to be of my twins happily playing which they were doing in the previous 3 shots.  But, as is the norm, the play disintegrated into conflict with her (foot bottom right) trying to kick the ball and him looking like he is about to be mugged! So it might have been a bit better if she was in the picture (darn kids just don't stay still!) but I think its quite funny anyway.  It all ended in tears on both sides in case anyone was wondering!
