Are you a serious or a socialite photographer?

I'm a gregarious person by nature.  A born socialite and love to talk.   However I have noticed clients don't take me as serious when I'm this way.  Which forces me to be serious most of the time.

Which is kind of a bummer for me.

Are you serious or more of a socialite with clients?

I'm a blend of both depending on the client

Depends on the job, I act like myself.   If I'm negotiating something, then I'm serious or at least with a semi-serious tone.

I'm both, to the extent possible. I'm like you - very outgoing and bubbly - which isn't the most conducive to chats about billing and such. But you can't change who you are! If you're a socialite, be a socialite. It will draw in the kind of clients you want to work with.

I'm the 'get the job done photographer'.  I don't worry about whether I'm serious or social butterfly, depends on my mood that day.

I think you mean sociable, since a socialite is someone who goes to society events, and being sociable can be a help in engaging subjects and interacting with people. I think there's an expectation for a professional to be businesslike as appropriate to the occasion too.

I've found having done sports and events that photography involves a certain amount of dealing with people. So it's probably a balance of conducting yourself in a friendly businesslike way.

I'm serious by nature, but certainly not an old codger (despite appearances). There's a time and a place for being chatty and social, but I'm generally more to the point and focused than I am a socialite.

+1 serious, however when I need to be, I enjoy a good laugh
