Those who have changed, did you find the grass greener on the other gear side?

I have been tempted by friends on the Nikon side to switch.  This has come up because I have some parts about Canon that I don't care about. To be honest, I've always liked Nikon controls more than Canon.

Those that have moved from Canon to Nikon, did you find the grass was indeed greener?

The grass is the same color. I'm a Nikon shooter because that's what I've used for over forty five years, and it could have as easily been Canon. You have capable gear and if you are even moderately invested in Canon glass I'd recommend taking a deep breath. I've known a few that made the switch and are happy, and there are some that have been disappointed because their photography didn't improve. Your choice, but maybe its NOT the brand that needs improvement?

Why so serious?

I haven't changed, but I tried out both Canon and Nikon before going with Canon. I really couldn't tell you any differences between the two in terms of sharpness, color reproduction, etc.

I wouldn't consider moving to Canon being a Nikon guy.  I like how the camera feels and controls.  So, I haven't been tempted.
