I've always wondered how errors like this make it all the way through their team of people who are supposed to check work PRIOR to publish.

A photographer working at that level isn't going to be handling all the day to day responsibilities of his business himself. He had not authorized the edits, and fired the guy that did the editing and made changes. Seems like now he knows it needs to be made clear to all his staff and employees what's acceptable and what isn't.

When completely altering my reportage images, don't make sloppy mistakes that give away we have completely altered the original image...

:P

If I remember correctly, he's been involved in more than one controversy over the years regarding his images and how they are created. Seems to be a repeating pattern.

Downside of being in the spotlight as a photo journalist who's supposed to shoot 'whats there', as opposed to whatever his team want to 'photoshop' was there...
