Things that annoy you, that clients ask you?

7 years 8 months ago #494103 by Dan Spade
So we all get asked these wacky questions from our loved (most of the time) clients.

LOL

Post the ones that drive you up the wall.  :)   We all bit our tongues so often, why not have a little ranting fun here.  :woohoo:

This one was asked to me AGAIN today:

"Can you make me look thinner in all the final photos?"

OMG such a tough question to answer with out coming across or sounding like an a$$.

I can't say "That would be way to hard" - it comes across as rude and potentially implying she is too large.

I can't say "I don't know how" - then I look incompetent.

I can't say "I don't have the time" or "It will cost you much extra" - again, implying she is large and not a simple job.

Ok, your turn.  Post 'em up and lets have some chuckles here.

"Can you make my wrinkles disappear?"

"Yes, but a facelift might work out cheaper.
My way is more work and only the photos are without wrinkles."

When acquaintances, friends, family, anyone that I have a pre-existing relationship with asks for any sort of unpaid labor or steep discount.

"Can you make my kids behave for their photos?" or "Do you have a payment plan?"

No...I cannot control your children, and my payment plan is half up front, half upon delivery! :)

Not always from clients so much as from friends and family, but constant nagging about when the photos will be on Facebook. People that aren't photographers sometimes have such a difficult time understanding the amount of time that goes into editing and organizing images

"Will you work for free?" would be at the top of my list.

My favorite from a wedding quote a few years ago.....
" We decided we can't afford you, but can we borrow or rent your camera?"
Um....no.

Why so serious?
