What photo did you take, that validated your interest in photography?

This is a question I enjoy asking photographers that I interview.  This could be any photo you took during your photographic journey.  Post it up!

Here's mine:

It all started for me when I was a little girl in the 1980s in Oklahoma. My grandmother and I would walk the country roads and she would often bring her camera (I've forgotten what it was now). Anyway, when I was about 10 or so she handed me the camera and I took a photo of an abandoned shack in a field at sunset. I'm sure my memory has improved the photo's quality over the years (the photo is long gone now), but that's when I knew I loved photography!

I lost this photo years ago due to a fire, however it was of a sale boat that was following into the horizon with this gorgeous sunsetting.  I loved that shot.

I took a photo of my sister and our dog with an old polaroid camera back in the day. Not anything you'd hang in a museum but I loved that pic and that's what sparked my interest in photography. I've had a camera in my hand ever since.

Believe it or not, the photo that stands out with me is a Polaroid shot of a sunset over a golden corn field when I was a kid.

Easily the one I posted above. That's the point where I realized the only limit I had was my imagination.

OK, I have to say, this shot is so incredibly wall worthy!

As for me, it was a photo of my first wife.
