Switching eye when shooting

7 years 7 months ago #495713 by Justin
I just tried this this morning.  I normally shoot with my right eye and heard about the challenge that has you shoot with your other eye.  That does feel weird!  However does force you to slow down and almost regather your thoughts on each shot.

Very nice to meet you!

What if you're using live view?

Why so serious?

Actually, rarely use LV.  Can't use left eye for viewing, too right eye dominant...

Why so serious?

I can do it, but it feels far to strange.

Seems like a good enough practice to me. Whatever helps slow down the process and get a better shot is a good trick in my book.

I've never tried it, but my sight is much stronger in my dominant eye. I think if I used my left, it would take ages to focus properly.

I can, but it's like trying to write cursive with my left hand.  It's just doesn't work as well and feels incredibly goofy!

Hm, interesting idea. I'm willing to try anything once, especially if it might help strengthen my skills.
