When do you shoot a panoramic vs grab wide angle lens?

We all have our ways of pressing that shutter button.  So if you are at a scene that could work well as a panoramic, when you do shoot it as such vs grabbing a wider lens?

Being lazy, I always use the wide lens, if possible.

The wider lens does reduce the processing needed but multiple shots stitched together brings better resolution IF you are careful processing.

Shoot, learn and share. It will make you a better photographer.

When ever I want to go wide.  There is no lens that is going to get me anywhere near 360 degrees field of view in a single photo.

:agree:    When I'm too lazy to pull out a wide angle lens!

When I want to go REALLY wide, I'll go with a pano.

I prefer shooting numerous shots and stitching together.  Much larger image, much more detail.

I prefer to shoot panoramic's, you get more data and larger image if you need it.

Panoramas never seem to look quite right when I stitch them together, so I just stick to wide angled lenses to get the job done.

As has been said, wide angle shots, though convenient, yield small image details. Panoramic , not so much but it depends on the lens used...
