Name something you wish you knew the first time you photographed a wedding?

A good friend of  mine has left her corporate job and is diving into wedding photography this year.  She's been doing it part time for about 8 months and she has put aside some savings.

I was talking with her yesterday and I'm not teacher, however I tried to give her all the things I wish I had learned before my first wedding.

Things like:

Be prepared, nothing goes as planned.
Wear comfortable shoes
If you miss something, don't get worked up.  Something else could be right around the corner.

If there are any that you can think of.  Please share them.  I'm trying to give her as much to prep for.

Thanks  :)

Absolutely correct. I also learned early to avoid as much as possible the bride's mother....

Why so serious?

You definitely should have a shot list so you don't miss anything.  Here is a comprehensive pdf that might be useful.
