Best alternative to leaving your DSLR home?

2 years 9 months ago #544174 by J Photo Man
How many of you still carry around a compact camera when you don't have your DSLR?

If you don't use a compact camera, are you using your iPhone or other phone's camera?

I was reading another thread here and this question just jumped in my head.

Just curious sort of question to make some conversation.

I'm just a hobby guy, so I am switching to M4/3 mirrorless. Bye, bye DSLR.

This time of year my DSLR goes everywhere with me. Other times,  if I leave it home I always have my phone and it 16mp, jpeg shooting camera....

Why so serious?

There isn't, they are only temp cameras while you are away from your DSLR.  But my iPhone does a good job for what it is.  :)

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 17-40mmL, 24-105mmL, 100-400mmL, 300mm f/4L IS, Sigma 12-24mm, 430EX, Extension tubes

Don't leave it at home!

If i'm out without the camera, and see something really worth shooting I'll either:

A. Go home and get the camera...

or

B. Not bother photographing it.

P&S camera's and phones are for small children...

:P
