I just bought a Formatt-Hitech set, but haven't had a chance to get out and use it

Lee is highly regarded. Don't know about the other.

That said, I can't imagine why anyone would need 150mm,unless you have a medium format rig. None of my DSLR lenses are larger than 77mm and the mount is just fine.

Hey Gary, did you buy one of their filter packages?   I notice on B&H that they have a number of different models/packages.

I sent through their website, where everything (the existing Firecrest models) are discounted, and found a discount code online (DAN30, I THINK), too.

I purchased the Colby Brown kit (just starting out...). Paid around $270. Seems of good quality, and I like the engineering. Of course, I have nothing to which to compare it.

I would not purchase from Amazon or B&H at this time, because of the discounting.

A 150mm filter (x 100) is used when you're using grads and you might not want the grad starting in the middle in every shot. They allow for horizon adjustment....

In my kit the 4 stop and graduated are glass. The inverse graduated is resin.

My wife, I mean Santa got me this kit for Christmas:   www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1344098-R...pro_starter_kit.html

BTW it's not ikan.  Ikan is the distributor, and the filter I'm near 100% sure you are talking about is "NiSi".
