WOW WOW WOW

Just heard about this.  I can't believe this.  After 45 years.  Now they are gone.  At this rate there will be no photography magazines left  :(

Kind of like the death of film to digital, from print to web.  WOW

People just don't buy magazines any more, especially seeing you can get just about all the same from your iPhone for free.

Yeah, I hate to say, but I saw this unfolding years ago.  And they won't  be the last.

Well they have moved to web only.  Hopefully they can get things figured out from a web basis only.

No surprise, they've been struggling of late. The shipping rates almost guaranteed print mags' demise.....I still have OP.
(I better shut up)

Why so serious?

This magazine got so thin, it was tough to even justifying it at newsstand.  Hope they figure things out with the online version.

Yes, a shame.  And as negative as this may sound, the others are circling the same drain.  :(  Magazines just can't compete with online.

Well the smart magazines will figure out way to adapt to the changing times.  Such as a model that works online.

Nikon Z6 | Nikon FM10 | Nikon D80 | Nikon 50mm f/1.8D | Nikon 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S VR | 35-105mm f/3.5 Macro | 80-200mm f/4.5 | SB600 | Pocket Wizard II

There is a model that works online. It's called, "pay for it."

Too much of a mindset that everything online should be free as in "no cost", instead of "freely available", has led to this unfortunate situation. And the pervasive mindset as expressed in this thread has contributed to this quagmire.

In the future everything will be funded by advertising, which is already controlled by Google, and that's not a good thing.

-We- are the problem.
