Nikon doesn't always use Sony sensors. I believe the 850 uses a Tower Jazz sensor. I don't think Sony really cares. They think they can beat both Canon and Nikon with innovation. I will say this though; Nikon currently uses Sony sensors, so it will be interesting how Sony handles that business once Nikon steps in to the mirrorless ring.
As for Canon, I Haven’t heard much of anything about it, however, Canon better release a rock star camera or it could hurt the company quite badly.
