Neighbor caught a Nikon 70-200mm lens on his lure today!

My neighbor who was bottom fishing today, called me over to his house to see what he caught.  I knew something was up because of how he asked for me to come over.  Sure enough when I got there, in a cooler was a large mouth bass and a Nikon 70-200mm lens!  The lens you can tell had been in the water for a long time.  Someone must have dropped that lens into the lake as there was no camera on it.  Talk about a catch.

There's something you don't every day!

If it was in the cooler, it must have been a keeper....

Why so serious?

Ha!  I bet that must have felt like a whale pulling in!

I wonder if someone stepped forward to claim that ring?

That had to been one serious hook in order to catch that lens.  Actually the ring is more amazing when you factor in the size and odds of hooking that thing.  Not to mention it staying on your hook while you pull it in!
