Which Mirrorless?

Hello!
I am new to this forum. I need your advice on a new camera, specifically a mirrorless.
I already have a Canon EOS 600d but I want a lighter camera to bring with me while travelling.
I have searched for a while now but still haven't decided which one to get. Keep in mind I am new to photography, but want to explore it a little bit further.
Here are the mirrorless I have narrowed down to:
- Sony alpha6000
- Olympus EM-D10 mark II
- Panasonic Lumix G7
- Panasonic Lumix LX100
- Fujifilm X-A3
The Sony alpha6000 is the praised basically everywhere, but the lens are more expensive compared to the others.
I would not make a lot of videos since I have a Gopro for that.
Do you have any suggestion?
Thank you!

- Sony alpha6000
  • Bad news: Budget lenses can be soft, premium lenses are really premium.
  • Good news: Exceptional AF (by mirrorless standards), lots of adapters for old lenses.
- Olympus EM-D10 mark II
  • Bad news: Clumsy menu system, controls feel fussy to some.
  • Good news: Strong Oly JPG colors, packed with cool features.
- Panasonic Lumix G7
  • Bad news: Meh viewfinder and dynamic range.
  • Good news: Really good video, easy controls.
- Panasonic Lumix LX100
  • Bad news: Not really mirrorless, the lens cannot be changed.
  • Good news:  The lens does work really well.
- Fujifilm X-A3
  • Bad news: No viewfinder, weak video, weak AF, better lenses are quite expensive.
  • Good news:  Outstanding in-camera JPG control.
Note that the new Fuji X-T100 does have a EVF, similar to the Oly E-M10 or Panny G7.

New Canon EOS M50 could also be a contender.

The Panny LX100 makes a little more sense as a complement to a DSLR, thanks to its outstanding zoom, that retracts.  Most of the other cameras could well replace a Canon 600D.

Personal note: I'm tempted to pick up a Panny G7 at the current low prices as a replacement for my old Oly E-M5.

I would pick the Olympus out of that group.

Sony, for the lens selection alone

Why so serious?

I personally bought a Sony a6300 a few years ago, as a second body that I could carry when I was out with my family.  I would suggest you take a look at that camera.  Very happy with it.

I stuck with the cameras listed. None of the listed ones would be my choice, but it wasn't my list.

M43 has way more of a lens selection than Sony APS-C. If size and weight matters, it's M-43 all the way.

P.S. If I were going to make a suggestion not on the list, I would say Canon M-50 since they already own and are familiar with Canon. Use the adapter and use all the glass they currently own.

Thank you so much! Such a thorough answer!
I am still trying to figure out, as some other said below maybe I should look at the Canon one since I already own one.

Kind of on the expensive side from what I was looking for.

This message board does not have a threaded view, so we don't know who it is your replies are addressed toward. Please be a little more specific.

Your talking about the lenses being pricier.  Have you looked at Sigma glass?
