Would you trade Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II for Fujifilm X-T1

I was given a used Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II last year that I have done nothing with.  All I have is the body.  I've been meaning to buy some glass or lens adapter so I can use my Nikon glass with it.

Well a friend has a Fujifilm X-T1 that he wants to trade for it.  You get slightly more MP with the Fujifilm and unless I'm mistakened, you get more native glass options with this camera.

Let's say both cameras had exact same shutter counts (I don't know shutter count of either cameras yet), would you make such a trade?

I'd go Fuji, but you need to decide what's best for you.

Why so serious?

The Olympus with lenses will be a smaller and cheaper kit. The Olympus has more lenses available for the system than the Fuji. You can use Panasonic lenses and others on the Olympus as well. The Fuji is a good camera but for the most part you only have Fuji lenses. The Oly has a high res mode that is hard to beat for still subjects. Think of it like this. There is a reason the Fuji guy wants to trade. Hmmmm…..

Hmmm, then I have some thinking to do.   How much do you think this camera is worth?

Neither one worth a lot. Check KEH, Adorama and B&H used sales to get an idea. Oly 600 to 650 and Fuji 500 to 550 if buying.

+ 1

Also, M4/3 has more budget native lenses than Fuji.  However, if you are still keen on adapting old Nikon lenses, an argument can be made that Fuji has the edge for that game.

And Zeiss lenses and a number of manual lenses made in the Fuji X mount and, like any mirrorless camera, all the old used SLR lenses available by the millions by adapting them.  The fuji lens system covers everything from 10mm to 400mm with a long list of prime lenses.  Yes, they are exceptional and expensive.
