Yeah, north anywhere. They've been observed in New Hampshire a few times, so it depends how far north.

Why so serious?

A close friend of mine is heading to Iceland in Feb 2019 on a workshop that will focus on the Northern Lights.  If I didn't have a gig already booked, I would be there in a heart beat with her!  What I understand as well, Alaska has some beautiful spots as well.

Do you need a permit to travel around, or is it free for you to roam around as you wish?

My brother just booked a workshop in Iceland in January, he is heading there and then heading down to London where is wife is attending a trade show.

I might need to head up there. Actually I want to go to Finland too.  That and Scotland.

Speaking of Iceland, I see them out my window as we speak.

We see them frequently here in Iceland, so I photograph them mostly here, but also in Greenland and Norway. Not sure what is the "best place" to view them, but I like to have some landscape, or lakes as foreground, if there is not much around, then I might just use my truck as foreground
