Photographers Vs Influencers

Hello everyone!
I would like to have a open discussion about influencers.
What’s your opinion about them? Good? Bad ?
As far as myself, studied photography for 6 years and then from there working professionally with it I can’t help to feel a sense of... mockery / bull crap when it comes to people with massive amounts of followers and because they have a phone, they are a photographer.

I’m specifically talking about influencers who thinks they are photographers. Not a lot of them out there ?
Wrong, there are companies like Tribe, who dishes out these photography challenges for people over 3000 followers. Tribe connects through big companies and sells advertising in the cheapest of ways. Making the photography market go a bit down, scaling it down further making it even harder for photographers to make a living nowadays. You get payed by the amount of followers you have not the quality you out out.

My research on Tribe is limited, I might be slightly off when it comes to their company but they do sell advertisements from big companies to people on Instagram with yet again over 3000 followers.
I go a bit more in depth in this episode of my podcast
https://itunes.apple.com/se/podcast/my-trip-to-reality/id1255333708?l=en&mt=2&i=1000392448297

This is not clickbait, feel free to have a discussion here and not click thw link if you want. I will be active here, I just want to discuss this topic because I feel like it’s a important one when it comes to Photography in general.
Photography can be a hobby but more importantly it can be a work title, a job, an income. I want to emphasize that and not reduce the photography business even further.
