5 in 1 reflector with portable stand for outdoors

5 years 5 months ago #608920 by Ray Tevich
I don't want to hire an assistant, and want to get a 5 in 1 reflector with a portable stand of some sort that will hold up to a little wind.  I'm not talking gale force winds, but at least be sturdy enough to take a small breeze.

This is my first reflector.  Now in terms of size, what would you recommended for general purpose?  I understand distance from what I'm shooting has a factor on this.  Let's say I'm photographing a model in a field, and I want it large enough to shed light on her entire body.

Thanks!

… sturdy enough to take a few sandbags if necessary! :P

Minimum 100 cm!

Did you think of a boom arm?

Light is free… capturing it is not!

42-44 inches should do the trick for you.

Agree, there are things like Manfrotto Magic Arm that you can attached to your tripod or other stand that will hold the reflector.  If you use your tripod, you can secure your camera bag under the tripod to add further weight that will keep that very secure with gusty winds.

43" and sandbags. And a little (collapsible) all-terrain wagon to haul things around in.
