When someone walks into your frame... ?

When you are in public space and have a shot framed up and someone steps into it to take a photo, do you let them do their thing or will you let them know you are getting ready to take a photo and for them to get out?

In my head I yell, "get out of my shot!"

But no, I don't say a word.  If you don't want to wait, there are ways to take multiple shots and remove people. Tripods help with that.

I think we are going to see many answers like that.  In our heads we are really letting them have it.  In reality, we wait till they move.

Now if they set up a tripod, that's another story.  I'll politely let them know I was almost done and they could have the spot next.

It’s very strange for me. I am typically a very impatient person when it comes to humans, but I have come to realize that ignorance really is bliss. Those that are blessed with common sense, as well as having been raised to be courteous and respectful, must also carry the burden of posessing such a rare trait and recognizing when others do not.

I was less than polite with a dude at Bass Harbor lighthouse once, nearly tossed him into the Atlantic and I wasn't alone. The correct answer is wait, it'll click with most people.....

Why so serious?

If we all are being honest, that's exactly what we all want to say!

LMAO

Stand in front of their frame.

LMAO!!!

Not really.  But I'll wait a few minutes, then politely let them know they had stepped into my shot and if they could move for a quick minute.

I'll ask them politely to step out of my shot, just for a moment.  And thank them.
