Hey guys, what is the trick to photographing through a window at night that has a reflection?  How can this be done with out seeing that reflection in your photo?

G'day Scott

Ezy-pezy mate ... this is the primary job of the polariser filter as used by most real estate 'togs

Position the camera roughly in the 30deg to 60deg angle to the glass and rotate the filter and watch the reflection fade away at the point of max polarisation

Hope this helps

Turn off all the lights, and use a rubber lens hood up against the glass. Forget the polarizer, it takes up too much light. If you don't have a rubber lens hood, wrap a cloth or anything around the end of the lens so there is no gap for light to enter the area in front of the lens. Getting the room as dark as possible is key.
