Camera holding you back from photographic glory?

Unpopular opinion time!

Better cameras can make better images. (With a good photographer, good lenses, filters, a sturdy tripod and good light) HOWEVER!!!!!! If you give a photographer an iPhone and a DSLR kit, he will be able to make technically superior image with the DSLR.

In all seriousness though, when you buy a new camera it shouldn't be because you think it will compose your images for you, it should be for the faster processor, a sensor upgrade, superior ergonomics and user friendliness.

it's like music.....A beginner might think he needs a $5000 custom shop Les Paul in order to play better. If you cant play you cant play, no matter the gear. It will help you grow and might keep you more focused and interested, but practice is all that matters.
