Looking at photos on LG smart TV

5 years 2 months ago #626074 by JD Imagery
I have this new LG smart TV and it has a USB port on back side of it.  Now I have tried everything I can think of and all my photos look pretty terrible when viewing on the TV.  I've messed with all sorts of adjustments on the TV, and nothing seems to make these look like they do on my computer.

We have an engagement party for my son coming up this weekend so getting this to work prior is important.

Can you help me please?

Define "terrible"?

And when you say USB port, are you using a flash drive of images for the TV's image display app?

You don't mention the resolution of the television, nor of your images. I'd start by figuring out what the TV resolution is, and making your images that same size, or double. Then flatten (reset) the settings on the TV and see how things look. Work from there.

I use Chromecast and cast the images to the TV with the app Allcast. Works great and that's with 72 DPI images and most being 1200 on the long side.
