Are you labeling your photography gear?

I can't seem to find my tripod, and figured now that I left it somewhere.  This has me wishing I labeled my gear somehow.  If you are labeling your gear, how are you doing so?

To make a difference between my personal gear and that
of the company, only the company's is carrying a code to
link it to the amortisation tools inventory.

Typically, I only label my batteries, with a sharpie.  I do have luggage tags attached to equipment bags.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

G'day Richard

All my expensive stuff has by drivers licence number engraved somewhere. Batteries for 4x cameras are numbered by the sequence that they arrived so we know 'new' from 'old'

No but I really need to.  I have a friend who labels everything.  I've been meaning to pick up one of those labelers.

What's funny, but not funny is a few years ago, I did start to do this, but then stopped and so half my gear is labeled and half isn't!

I have a notebook with all my serial numbers cataloged, at least on major gear.  I don't have all my gear labeled with my name on it.

EF 50mm f/1.4
EF 35mm f/1.4L USM
EF 100mm f/2
EF 70-200mm f/4

That's what I do. All my photography bags, rollers, etc, have my information on them.
