Leica watch

Well it looks like Leica is hedging it's camera manufacturing with making watches now.

Would you run out and buy?

Kind of looks a little plain for my tastes.

Will they be grossly overpriced as well?

Edit: 16k... Yup.

Good looking watch, designed and manufactured by Leica ... If I was the richest man in the world ... or the second richest ... or just an average, everyday, Plain Jane rich guy ... I would consider it.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

$16,000 for that watch.  Big time pass for me.

Sorry but for me, this watch looks very plain.  I wouldn't buy it even at $1000.

I don't mind investing money on gear
but hate to spend it on non essentials…
and I don't ware a watch as my phone
has taken over many tasks.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

It's about $12,500 more than honestly I would pay for that.  Not to say it's not a good looking watch.  I If spending that kind of $$$ on a watch, there are a number of other more recognized brands I would go after.

The gear shots I find always interesting.  This watch looks well crafted.  But $16,000 for this?  I think I would pick up a Rolex or Breitling and save some $$ to buy a new lens or something.  $16,000 is just another example of brand name tax that exceeds worth by a large margin IMO.

OMG, just say no.

I don't mean to be negative.  But $16,000?  It's a beautiful watch.  But sorry, just don't see that sort of value here.

This isn't for me.  I think it's a beautiful watch, something you know is very well built. However just not for me.
