Have you made money from renting out unused gear?

I was thinking this morning that I have a number of items that I'm not using, or using that often.  I seem to remember seeing some sites where you can rent your gear on.  Kind of like a Uber for photography gear.  Have any of you done that and not only made money, but had a positive experience?

This has been discussed before.

I think you'd have to be insane to enter that business by yourself.

I have plenty of gear that goes unused much of the time. But my gear is there for when I need it. If it is unused, either I don't have time, or the need isn't a priority.  Only then do I consider unloading it. I wouldn't risk renting it out.

Agree, that's just asking for your gear to be used and abused.  Pass.

Even if I had enough gear to rent out, I wouldn't.  I work too hard for what I have.

Only my sons can use my equipment, it will
be theirs when I retire and they take over.

Good way to add a ton of un-accountable hours and abuse on your gear.
