Handing your camera in the cold winter?

5 years 1 month ago #631366 by F Anderson
Well I'm freezing my butt off and have tried a few different gloves in an attempt to keep my hands warm.  I'm able to keep my hands warm, but it's a head ache trying to handle my camera and adjust dials and small switches as needed.

I end up having to take my gloves off.  What a PITA.

What are you doing to keep warm, while still able to control your camera?

Have you tried any photography specific gloves?  They have pointer fingers and thumbs that pop off

… and some sports gloves even have battery "heaters" in them…

Light is free… capturing it is not!

Man, some of those gloves can get pricey for what they are.

Those are on the pricy side of photography gloves.  OP check out FreeHands too, those are a little better priced.

And what, exactly, are they?

Products that address a problem, and do so effectively, are a good thing. If you need that solution, pay for it.

How is that complicated?

:agree:   I have these  photographygloves.com/products/vallerret...ography-glove-ipsoot

While I thought they were pricey, and aren't for everyone.  They are one good set of gloves.  My favorite out of 3 different pairs that I own.

You'll not find anything that full advertises itself as fully waterproof because of the whole finger exposed feature of photography gloves, but make sure you stay away from the obvious not water resistant ones.  Moisture is what get's your hands first.

I just think it is cool that someone is making photo specific gloves.  I have a number of gloves of different weights for different conditions.  Most of you from cold weather areas would most likely laugh at when I start pulling the gloves on.  I've decided I've nuthin' to prove, so I might as well be comfortable.

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.
