Camera crash

5 years 1 month ago #631425 by Alesander
First of all, hi everyone (im new on photography talk, i didn’t know where to post this topic)

Yesterday i was trying to take pictures of an art exhibition. Most of it was lit by stroboscopic rgb led lights. I’m talking about programmed led lights to give a visual strobe. And my camera couldn’t handle it. Every time i tried to take a picture or video of it it would just crash and i had to take out the battery. Can someone help to explain this?

I was using a canon 100d on manual mode. (Flash was off) and manual white balance. That is working just fine on other stuff.

thx, Alesander

Welcome here.

You should take that to Canon. They might want to know about that.

Very "Person of Interest".

I had to watch that a couple times.  There is something up with that camera, that doesn't look like a self fix.  Sorry to say, but you're better off having the pro's look under the hood.

^This^ I would think that on manual the shutter should always release when you press the button. (Unless your camera has a shutter release option of to shoot only when focused. Even then, it should not crash.)

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.
