How to properly support while shooting a watch with a 45 degree angle turn?

Hi guys!

I'm trying to make a product shot of a watch, but the band/strap is very flexible. I can't just put it on the table, because it will collapse.. How to support the band AND keep it out of the shot?

I can't find anything on the web regarding this issue.. Any ideas from the real experts? I try to replicate something like the attached image.

Thanks in advance!
Erik

You'll likely need to get really creative here.  You could try thin wire, or fishing line.

Maybe a brace that is a distinct color such as blue or green, Chroma Key colors, I think.  A color that is distinct from the watch that could easily be edited out.  Tripod - photo without the watch/the background - photo with the watch - cut out the brace replacing it with the area from the photo with no watch.

It may be that these photos were taken on their laying on their sides and the edited to look upright?

I have no experience in this area just brainstorming...

Thanks guys! The wire may work! I thought of shooting on a flat surface too and shoot with an angle and turn the camera 45 degrees. All great idea! Thanks a million!

Maybe, the solution is in shooting at a different
angle than it will be viewed?

Light is free… capturing it is not!
