I've been noticing more people talking about "Lumachrome" prints on my Facebook page.  Now what I can see, these look great.  But how is this different from acrylic prints?

"Acrylic Prints or "FACEMOUNTS" are the creations of desire that can be found hanging in the finest galleries in art destinations worldwide. We offer both FUJIFLEX and LUMACHROME Acrylic prints. LUMACHROME Prints are a greatly improved print compared to the Fuji Flex creations we made for Art Wolfe in the Natural Wonders Gallery in NYC and Las Vegas. LUMACHROME prints surpass Fuji Flex bringing unbelievable resolution, clarity, vibrancy and Dmax with an incredible 3D image quality to your photo that can appear backlit and holographic. We create custom ICC profiles with a tweeked  tone curve to get the maximum 3D effect and 16 bit printing for the smoothest tone and response. LUMACHROME is ONLY available facemounted due to the special process."

Lumachrome crushes Fujiflex IMO.  I've seen 2 prints side by side and there is a noticeable difference.  For me, the colors pop more and seem true to life with the Lumachrome.  And not to take anything away from Fujiflex, it looks incredible.  However if you are going to spend big bucks on a large print, well you want to do it right.
