Where in Southern California for flowers right now?

I've noticed all these butterflies all around and then a neighbor was telling me that the flowers are in full bloom all over the place.  I'd like to track down the most scenic places!  Anyone know where I can start?  

I'm in Los Angeles right now.

One unique idea I use is to look for Master Gardeners associations. Some have educational gardens that are open to the public 7 days a week. There was one in Pa where I grew up, as well as one town over from where I live now in Texas. From Spring until winter there are always pollinators and all kinds of flowers. Many of my pollinator photos are taken in those places.

On the weekends, a couple hundred thousand peoples are out there stepping all over the wildflowers.
There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

Brother you aren't kidding!  It's annoying to see the lack of common sense with some.  People jumping into the middle of a these flower patches, stepping and laying down on flowers to get their cell phone shots.

 Oui, Joshua Tree est en fleur... tous nos deserts sont en fleur. Nous avons deux deserts distincts, le Mojave et le Sonoran. Notre Mojave est l'un des deserts les plus secs au monde. Le parc national de Joshua Tree se trouve dans le Mojave. Anza-Borrego, dans la partie tres meridionale de la Californie est egalement en pleine floraison. Anza-Borrego abrite quelques-unes des plus grandes dunes de sable du monde. Une dune de sable en fleur est tout simplement incroyable.

You might want to recheck where you want to go, my wife was telling me last night that due to the madness that look place over the weekend, that the state shut access off.
