How to convince a real estate agent to hire a photographer?

Have you ever noticed so many home for sale ads look horrible?

I'd like to approach for sale by owners and real estate agents representing such ads to hire me.  Any tips on how to approach these people?

I'd like  to say "Hey your photos in your ad are bad, I can do better and help you sell your home quicker".  That's a little  rough, but can it be said?

Any tips you can share?

A lot of real estate agents will simply use cheap photographers because they are trying to pocket more earnings, the house value didn't warrant it, or perhaps the market is strong and they felt that expensive photos weren't necessary yet if the house sells quickly.

Honestly, we had the best in the business do ours. They are amazing. 360 degree shots and 360 virtue tour, drone shots of the property, a full aerial "cut out" view of the interior...

only to have people show up at our house and 30 seconds say "Oh, this is too contemporary..." and walk out. Ironically, the house is anything BUT contemporary; It's rustic. You see, even with amazing photos, buyers are still idiots.   Thousands of dollars on photos and people STILL waste our time.

This is purely anectdotal. Without those shots, we might not have even gotten the chance to show the house. I was simply playing devil's advocate. I take this perspective a lot because it helps me see where the issue is and how to fix it. What this tells us is that people want amazing photos for dirt cheap. Once you get in to the $500,000 range and up, people start spending good money on photos. At $1m +, pretty much everyone does unless the house sells immediately.
