Medium format camera owners

Have you compared your image files to other cameras?  This is just a complete random question regarding the benefits of a medium format camera.  Particularly you see many new DSLR or Mirrorless cameras getting files sizes that are close to the Medium format size.  Are they even close?  These cameras must be putting some pressure on the medium format cameras.

There's more to medium format than simply counting pixels. The size and resolution of the sensor, the lenses, all play into how MF behaves. Having a 35mm-sized sensor have more pixels means (ideally) more detail, but it's still not the same thing.

Larger format cameras will continue to have their place, niche though it may be, IMO.

At this point, the actual IQ4 /150 MP on a sensor that is 2,5 times the
size of the 35 mm platform takes it to pixel density and DR. My IQ3 /
80 MP is the most I could go for close to the end of my career but it
is a good start for my sons.

In no way will pixel count take over the medium format — there are still
physical limitation at this time — DR is for me the keyword.

D850 should know this all to well, that D850 is the next best thing to a medium format.

Yes, the next best thing and I use it all the time for wildlife but
not in studio; where the IQ3/80 is king for given productions
and the D3X a great tool for the others.

Steve, I could not express it in English (with correct punctuation
so to present a pleasant read.

Given the context of the discussion, let me google that for you: " medium format IQ3 "

When did search engines become so difficult to use, and why wasn't I notified?

garyhook please get out of my cloud… just ignore me, I would be grateful.

My comment above was directed solely at Mr. Zahra. Nothing towards anyone else intended or expressed.

However: if one comments and posts ubiquitously, it's unclear why one would expect to be ignored by anyone. I do my best to be clear here (and avoid snark... mostly) but if language barriers prevent a nuanced understanding of others' posts, how is that my problem?

You, Mr. NS, pointed out to Mr. Zahra that he could google "IQ3/80", and rightfully so. He should google that, because the power of the web is immediately at hand. It was a good suggestion. My post was intended to reinforce that suggestion (yeah, supporting your comment... who knew?) with just a bit of the aforementioned snark directed towards anyone that apparently can't be bothered to take 20 seconds to use a search engine to answer a simple question. So, no, not about you. I won't apologize for being misunderstood when I did everything within reason to make it clear my comment was directed to Mr. Zahra.
