Can I borrow your camera while on vacation?

So my wife and I are down in Cabo right now.  We just arrived late last night.  We woke up early this morning went for a run on the beach.  The sun started coming up and looking so beautiful over the horizon.  I ran up to the room to get my camera, and it's not here!

@#$#%!!!  It's in the back of my car that is in my garage!!!  Why?  Well it was the first bag I packed and loaded into the car, the day before we left.  Then my wife decided last minute, let's take Uber to the airport and save $187 in parking fee's.

Can you see what happened?

Damn.  I'm down here and all I have is my cracked screen iPhone.

Well, that was this morning and we still had a great first full day here.  I have a few drinks in me now, getting ready to wind down.  Thought I would share this with you.

Note to self:  Don't forget the camera bag!

Well the good thing is you have a camera cell phone or not! Enjoy your vacation.

Man that sucks.  But ... it may be a bit liberating as well ... with no bag or large camera to haul around. Unfortunately, Cabo and surrounding countryside is starkly impressive and photogenic.  I am interested to see what you and your cracked iPhone can do.

To answer your question and according to a previous thread based upon lending camera equipment ... I maybe the only person in Photography Talk willing to lend you a camera.  ;)

There are photographs everywhere. It is the call of photographers to see and capture those images.

Can't say I've forgotten my camera before.  Memory cards, yes.  Batteries, yes.   Many other things, a big yes as well.  Well as others have said, this is a good opportunity to just make the focus on family and perhaps get creative with your camera in your smart phone!

Man, and last trip we went on I was ticked off that I left my battery charger home and needed to buy a new one.  Hope you made the best of it and had a great vacation regardless!

Yeah, worst case scenario is you overnight one to yourself. Forgetting your camera is another ball game. Lol

Sucks man. I will say this. When I shed the camera and just take a few snapshots with my cellphone instead, it’s actually quite relaxing! I actually prefer my camera on me when I am alone. My friends and family rush me without realizing it.

Me:  I'd end up leaving my memory card or battery charger home.  Oh wait, I did that 2 years ago when we went to Hawaii for our anniversary!
