Amazon will deliver your photography gear in your garage now?

First off, when did they start doing this?   https://www.amazon.com/ref=garage_gw_hud/b?node=18528209011&pf_rd_p=9a3abbe2-9a4e-4457-bc91-cc75e0e70c55&pf_rd_r=QECS724DTR9HEMHS24H6

I'm on the fence about this. I like the idea that my packages will be safe, but the only concern I have is if the delivery agent will close the garage and wait to see it close each time.

You might be able to make a note for the delivery asking them to do that. That's what the note is supposed to be used for. "Place in garage, watch door close entire way please" or "place on side porch" etc.

After all, if they are saying they will do it, I assume they will take a moment to make sure it closes.

I wouldn't count on it based on how packages sometimes get left now! Regular drivers can accomodate a request to leave it on a table near the front door but other drivers filling in leave it wherever; I've had packages left on the edge of the porch almost ready to fall down the steps!

Apparently you have to get their key/camera system, it's not avaiable where I live. But this might be a better option than them dropping packages in the middle of your yard (can you imagine on a day of rain/snow?). I didn't think that was going to work (it was being tested in the area).

This might work I suppose, I agree my concern would be the garage door getting closed, seems like delivery drivers are always in a rush. Better look at the Terms and see if they'll take responsibility for any problems.

That's a bit of liability there for Amazon, I'm sure their drivers will be required to stay and confirm door is closed. As it is now, you get photos showing when packages are delivered.  I'd bet something similar will take place with this.

I would have no problem with this.  All the Amazon delivers have been perfect.  The only one I wouldn't be excited about is the drone landing a package.  We have wires all over the place here and kids playing.  I would be concerned one of the kids getting hit by one of these.

Nope, I'm happy with leaving at my front door.  I'll be a little concerned about my garage getting closed each time.
