ProGrade memory cards "V90" clarification needed

"Guaranteed to operate at a maximum read rate of up to 250MB/s and maximum write speed of up to 200MB/s. V90 ensures that write speed will not drop below 90MB/s".

So on this write speed,  it's saying roughly a 110 MB/s difference.  What impacts if this card is closer to the 90 vs 200MB/s?

That's a spec for performance, most likely, and simply a baseline guarantee. How the storage on the card is being accessed will impact throughput. I.e. streaming data to an empty card will go faster than jumping around to various locations. This is true of any storage device, so research random vs sequential reads and writes if you want to know more.

What device are you using this in? UHS-II surpasses the requirements for 4K 30p video (30MB/s) and will be adequate in any high-end camera (Nikon D850, etc) that produces larger files.

At a certain point for reads, you don't care because you're limited by the hardware, not the storage media. UHS-II guarantees that to be the case, I think. At least for the D850?

I could have my facts askew, but my UHS-II card meets every need I have.

Prograde, isn't this a company splintered from executives from Lexar?

No, another company took over the Lexar brand.

ProGrade is a new company started by former Lexar executives:

Not the same thing.
