Syrp pan tilt on one tripod with 3.3' rails?

I just ordered a new set up from these guys and just thought of something.  Will I need another tripod?  As I only have one.  I'll be using this for shooting video and of course time lapse.  I'm hoping I won't need another tripod as that will add much unwanted weight to my pack.

Let me know.  Thanks!

Depends on the tripod and ball head you are using.  You want a strong ballhead that will hold the weight of the Syrp rig and your camera as it creeps over to one side.  You also want a sturdy tripod with some weight to it, to keep it from tipping over.

I have this system and will set up for single tripod set up when shorter runs only.  Tripod I'll use is a ProMedia Gear 42 Series beast with an Acratech GP ball head.  I will go with 6' rail lengths with single tripod with the aid of 1 or 2 Konova tripod stability arms. These actually work really good.

I just bought one of those Rhino Rov Pro's.  From what I've been told that on you can use on single tripod.

I wouldn't buy one of those Rov's.  It's an internal battery that you can't swap out.  So when it's time for recharge, it's game over till it's charged.  Pass for me.
