Shooting with changing Kelvin white balance?

Will you make white balance changes by making changes in your cameras Kelvin settings?  Versus setting camera in presets like "Cloudy" "Florescent", etc.

I set mine on Auto WB and forgot all about it. WB is
the less critical of all the shooting parameter.

I given situations I will use a grey card on Auto WB.

Light is free… capturing it is not!

I used to; i no longer do. That's for shooting jpg, IMO.

I either leave it on "Daylight" or Auto, depending upon the situation. If I use Auto, and have to tweak in post, the camera will have given me a much better idea of the right settings.

Also: You might want to shoot a person on Auto, to get a really good value, if not using a gray card. If the camera is smart enough to look for skin tones, take advantage of that.

I second Nikon Shooter's response.  White balance is easier to adjust in editing software than in the camera.
